A Minor Facelift

I gave the blog a really minor design facelift today. Understandably, the older version was a lot simpler because I hadn’t had a chance to play around too much with WordPress because I launched the blog. Now that I have a good handle on it, I played around with it some more. If you’re curious, I also added an about page.
What Changed?
I decided to pump up the size of the logo and give it a little more breathing room. It’s an effort to help establish the “Patrick Burt” brand. Additionally, I brought up the font size of the body text and side navigation by a pixel or two and widened the entire website to a previously recommended 970 pixel width. These changes went hand in hand so that readability was not compromised when line lengths were extended.
What do you guys think? As I write this, I’m thinking I probably should have taken a screenshot of the previous version.

This is my first visit to your blog coming from Search-This but so far I like it. FYI, you have a checkbox at the bottom of the comment form without any text attached to it. I’m not sure if it will save my info or subscribe me to the post.
