I quite understand what your opening statement was meant for. In a way, it makes sense. Your title lets the readers know that your ariticle is meant to help them get work done. Next, your opening statement stands out saying that not only can your readers use this ariticle, but you can use it yourself. So, this puts you in the same category as us. HOWEVER; the downside of it means that if it does not work for YOU, then how can you convince that it works for US.

I got to point this out, unfortunately, because it made me lose a little bit of respect for this article, before I even got to the jest of it. Maybe you should change your opening statements.
You’re title is “BUSY PERSON’S GUIDE TO GETTING WORK DONE”, but then in the opening sentence you tell us that you HAVEN’T GOTTEN ANY WORK DONE because you’ve been BUSY. This is somewhat of an oxymoron or a paradox or what have you. Just giving you a heads up, so you don’t turn off other readers like myself some of which will be less understanding.

Great post, I definitely agree that getting the little things out of the way helps, definitely allows you more focus.
