Patrick I agree but heres one for you. When I add my url to a directory do I use like www.ubid4it.org/ or www.ubid4it.org I ask this is because one has 1000 backlinks to it and the other with / has over 3000.
Which is right?

Mike don’t worry but you should be careful…Use back links to good quality websites which contains some real good information. And also link out to websites which contains good contents also.

Follow this :

–> Have good informative website( unique content rich)
–> Have good keywords at Title, Description(repeat 3 times with other words) and in the Blurb)
–> Have Good blurb with H1 tag on it. Use 3 to 4 internal links of website here. Make keywords bold.
–> Very Unique content based on that master keyword you are using. (Around 500 words) with keyword repeated in every fourth line. Mix other keywords in the content.
–> Most important thing “Each page must have atleast 10 backlinks with relevent websites”.

Now it will take around 1 to 1/2 month to show a website some result with all this practice.

Till that time use Social website to poplular you webpages. It surely will help you in gettin some real good rank in Google result.

Also a sidenote Claire, I did a quick Google search and if claire-evans.com is your website (which looks nice by the way), your links aren’t counted as outlinks as they’re done in Flash. Proof:

Hi Claire, thanks for the comment. You are absolutely right. I recognize that I was a bit too vague with that section, and what I meant by Link Exchanges are generic link exchange programs where you might end up linking to a florist website.

I should have clarified my post regarding keeping the volume low and keeping it with relevant sites.

What a bunch of hogwash! what “research” are you referring to? Google has only stated to avoid high volume reciprocal linking to irrelevant sites.

I’ve got six sites all that reciprocal link..I use linksmanager software to manage it all and my sites are in the top 5 results for my keywords.

Link exchange is alive and well on the web.. but you have to keep the volume low/natural and only link with sites relevant to your own.

Stop spreading such blatant misinformation!
